Costa Rica: Air France announces more flights for 2024
Air France has announced a significant increase in flights to Costa Rica for 2024, marking a strong commitment to one of Latin America’s jewels. This decision not only reflects the growing popularity of Costa Rica among international travellers but also underlines the strategic importance of this market for Air France.
A reinforced air bridge between Paris and San José
From summer 2024, Air France will offer daily flights between Paris and San José, providing an unprecedented gateway to the natural and cultural wealth of Costa Rica. This initiative, the fruit of close collaboration with the Instituto Costarricense de Turismo (ICT), aims to meet the growing demand for quality travel to this popular destination.

Responding to growing demand
Air France’s decision is based on an in-depth analysis of tourism trends, which shows a steady increase in the number of French and European visitors to Costa Rica. In 2023, the country welcomed more than 67,000 French tourists, confirming its position as the leading European destination in Latin America. This positive trend continued in January 2024, with almost 10,000 French visitors, underlining Costa Rica’s undeniable appeal.
An offer adapted to all seasons
Air France will adjust its flight frequency according to the season, with a daily service until the end of March, then a resumption from June to September, thus covering the peak tourist season. This flexibility ensures maximum accessibility to Costa Rica, allowing travellers to discover its idyllic beaches, lush rainforests and exceptional biodiversity at any time of year.
